Aside from the cost of the oil change, the dealer charged $65 to reprogram the service program. He said it was required. I've eight old BMW's and have never had to pay to have the service program reset.
452 posts · Joined 2015. #3 · Apr 21, 2016. You just insert key, press start button but dont start the car. Hold down the reset button on the dash till a triangle appears, then let go. Now each press of the button will show a new service, once you find the brake fluid one press and hold again until RESET? appears.
My opinion is they never changed the oil and merely reset the oil change interval light. BMW's interval is mileage or date, whichever comes first. The "01/2022" tells me they reset it in Jan 2021. The "600 miles" tells me the sensor STILL detects dirty oil. E.
