as you have to enable sv_cheats and disable it in the same command line. like this: sv_cheats 1; cheat; sv_cheats 0 though i dont know the exact syntax, you can google to find out how to string together multiple commands in one line of the console.

"In order to use the advanced options cheats mode must be enabled (sv_cheats 1). However, you are only allowed to enable cheats mode on a listen server. The game can't create listen servers through the default menus, you have to create them manually through the developer's console.
You can only do it after a fresh startup, that's always been the case. If you were playing sinleplayer, co-op, or any other mode before launching the map through the console, sv_cheats won't work. Restart the game and load up the map throug hthe console before starting any gamemode. You have to enter the command "sv_cheats 1" in the main menu
You can do it with almost every game, unlock them all in one sec, and then lock them again with no problem, only in some games like spiral knights, supermnc etc..you can't unlock them, it says they are server achievs or something like that. #7. Shinpool Dec 29, 2015 @ 5:22pm.
To run sv_cheats 1 on a local server, you have to start from the console in the main menu - enter in sv_cheats 1, then start the map with map . This problem happens to me too :/. First restart your l4d2 game. 1. From main menu, go in campaign mode, create a lobby, Make it >LOCAL HOST
